TOP HAMMER DRILLING EQUIPMENTS
In the top impact system, the gun on the machine transmits the energy it produces to the bits at the bottom of the hole through pipes (rods) and breaks the rock. The required energy is produced by hydraulic guns. Thanks to the pressure force produced, the piston is pushed and hit the shank adapter.

DTH EQUIPMENTS
The bottom hole drilling method was developed to drill large diameter holes downwards from the surface. The main components of the downhole drilling system are the downhole drilling hammer (gun) and bit. The gun drill is behind the bit and works down the hole.
The piston directly hits the contact surface of the bit and the gun transmits the impact energy to the drilling bit. The amount of compressed air coming from the compressor affects the piston speed. Therefore, the flow rate, pressure and bar characteristics of the compressor play a role in the efficiency of the gun.
